Mixed Media Tag - Just Smile

I'm here today to share a video tutorial on a mixed media tag - Just Smile. Check out the pictures.

I wanted to give a very textured finish to this tag hence used many techniques.

Here's the list of supplies used and a brief description.

Immix - Texture Paste, Heavy Gesso Black, Metallic Paints Velvet Orchid and Yellow Sage, Art Gel Medium, Stencil
Little Birdie - White Gesso, Mixed Media Stones
CrafTangles - Cement Texture Paste
ICraft - Fussy Cut flowers

I started by applying the texture paste through a stencil on the tag randomly. Then spread the cement texture paste with a palette knife.

After letting it dry, mixed some sand with art gel medium and applied it on the tag.

Covered some die cuts, chippies and resin charms with black gesso. Applied sand and art gel medium mixture to these too and covered them and the tag with black gesso.

Then applied Velvet Orchid metallic paint on the tag. Diluted it with some water to help move it easily.

Then assembled everything on the tag and applied the same metallic paint on the composition. Also used Yellow Sage metallic paint randomly.

Then added flowers, die cuts and fussy cut elements. Added some sequins and crystals for interest. Then dry brushed and splattered some white gesso.

Lastly added a sentiment and lace to complete the look.
