Birthday Explosion Box

Hey people!

Welcome to my blog. Today I have something very interesting and equally beautiful to share.
This is an explosion box made to order for a birthday. Check the pictures.

Mixed media work and paper crafting are my forte and the absolute love of my life. Lately, I'd been doing a lot of mixed media work. Hence was dying to get my hands on paper crafting. So, when this opportunity presented itself, I gladly took it.

This box measures 6*6*6 inches. It has the capacity to accommodate approx 30 pictures and a lot of messages.

The papers used are from Eno Greetings.

It has 3 layers, each layer has is adorned with beautiful mixed media work. The cover of the box is also a beautiful work of mixed media.

The first and the outermost layer is done with fussy cutting work. There are pockets with photo mats.

The middle layers are decorated with handmade flowers and have pockets to hold photo mats and tags. The back side of this layer is kept simple with only a pocket containing a photo mat. I didn't want to make the back side bulky since the front is already loaded.

The innermost and the third layer has belly bands decorated with handmade flowers. They all contain photo mats and tags. Again, the back side is kept light with only some tags and space for journalling.

The main attraction is the center of the box. It has a beautiful miniature house surrounded by a garden of moss and handmade flowers. A tealight is placed in the house that lights up and beautifully accentuates the whole view.

I have a video walk-through of the box. Here it is.

Do let me know how you  like it.
