Mixed media Beach Canvas

Hello everyone!

This is Shweta with a new project I made for Prika blog.

It's vacation time for everyone. Time to rejuvenate yourself. I'm back from a vacation myself and it feels good to craft again after missing in action for so long.

I have created a fun mixed media beach canvas with blues dominating it.
Here are the supplies used.

Chalk paints- Maya Blue, Sweet pea, Tortilla, Creamy Yellow--Expressions Craft
Stencil-- Expressions Craft
Chalk paints- Magic Blue, Cream Pie-- ICraft
Fussy cut elements-- ICraft element sheet
Small banner chippie-- Prika
Blue,Yellow,Green star sequins-- Prika
Art stones-- Finnabair
Mixed media glass fragments-- Dadarkar Arts
Mixed media paste, Soft acrylic gel matte, White gesso-- Little Birdie
Die cuts-- DMC

I took a canvas board and primed it with white gesso. Then using a stencil applied mixed media paste for textures.

Then colored the textures using blue and yellow shades of chalk paints, in line with the theme color palette.

The focal point of my canvas is a small beach painting I quickly made using chalk paints. You could also use your vacation picture as your focal point.

I used some scraps of pattern papers as a background to my focal point and arranged them to my liking. Randomly adhered some jute twine.

Used handmade foam flowers in blue and yellow colors, fussy cut elements, die cuts and assembled everything.

Added lots of art stones, glass fragments and sequins around my composition to add depth.

Added two separate sentiments, one at the top on a chippie and one at the bottom.

And done.
I made this project in quite a jiffy. Hope you like it. Do comment to let me know.

Thanks.
Much love,
Shweta
